Purchase gifts for children in need this holiday season

For 2023, PLEASE NOTE:

Thank you for your interest in helping children served by our food pantry! Our Help for the Holidays program has reached the deadline for community sponsors.

Given the logistical challenges of distributing thousands of gifts to local children, each year we reach a certain date where we can no longer match community sponsors with the children that we are serving.

However, that doesn't mean we don't need your help! There are still several ways to help:

We will begin matching generous community sponsors with client families again in September 2024. Happy Holidays!

Each year, caring individuals, churches and businesses across the South Shore “adopt” some of Interfaith's food pantry client families as part of our Help for the Holidays program. They purchase gifts for children who would otherwise go without. Last year, nearly 700 children were assisted through this program.

The sign-up form to be matched with a family is now closed. All gifts should be delivered to Interfaith Social Services’ offices (105 Adams St., Quincy, MA) by Monday, December 11. You will get detailed instructions about gift drop-off after you sign up.

Please note: Once we have made your assignment, we will email you with the details of your client family along with further instructions. If you do not hear from us by Dec. 4, please email Natalie McMenamin (natalie@interfaithsocialservices.org) to check on the status of your registration.

Food Pantry clients seeking holiday gift assistance for children ages 12 and under can sign up when they visit the pantry for groceries in the Fall.

Donation drop-off instructions:

Gift drop-off will be by appointment. A SignUp Genius link will be emailed to you in late November.

Appointments will take place Dec. 9, 11, & 12.

Please do not have gifts shipped directly to Interfaith. Please ship them to your home or office. We want to ensure that all children get the specific gifts purchased for them.
