Plant. Grow. Share.

Plant. Grow. Share.

PLANT a row at home, GROW veggies, then SHARE with the food pantry

Are you a home gardener with a green thumb? Plant a few extra vegetable plants this season in order to provide fresh produce to your neighbors in need! Our Plant.Grow.Share. program encourages local individuals and organizations to donate a portion of their harvest to Interfaith's food pantry.

When available, free vegetable seedlings are also available to local gardeners in the spring as part of the program.

The Plant.Grow.Share. program helps the community focus on not only feeding, but nourishing, our neighbors in need.

To set an example, each spring, volunteers plant a garden at our office in Quincy. Interfaith’s alleyway food pantry garden shows that healthy food can be grown virtually anywhere.

Community Support

We're grateful to the many local organizations that plant gardens and bring fresh produce to the food pantry all summer long. A few of these include: Quincy Police Department, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Milton Community Garden, Hough's Neck Congregational Church and St. Agatha's Parish. Thank you!

How to Help

Plant Grow Share
  • Growing your own and have extras to share? Bring them by our food pantry (105 Adams St., Quincy – please drive around back) Monday, Wednesday & Friday between 12:30-3:30pm, Tuesday & Thursday between 12:30-7pm, and Saturday 10am-3:30pm.

  • If you’re not able to grow your own produce, you can also purchase some from the supermarket or make a monetary donation.  Fresh fruits and vegetables are the healthiest foods for you, but they are also the most expensive. Thank you!
