Food insecurity among senior citizens is a pressing issue. Many of our elderly community members live on fixed incomes, and rising costs of living make it increasingly difficult to afford necessities. Interfaith’s food pantry aims to bridge this gap, ensuring that no one goes hungry or goes without essential supplies.

Please consider donating to support our mission.

Meet our client, John

The number of seniors we serve through our food pantry has been growing exponentially. John, an 87-year-old Air Force veteran, has been coming to Interfaith for help since 2017. He recently spoke with us about how thankful he is that Interfaith is here when he needs help.

John had a stroke a few years ago. However, despite his limited mobility, he tries to stay active and get out as much as he can. He takes the bus and walks to our pantry when he needs help.

Eileen Kelly, Interfaith’s Food Pantry Manager, shared, “I look forward to seeing John when he visits us. He always has a big smile on his face and is so appreciative of everything we can provide. When he came in last month, I noticed it was his birthday. In addition to giving him a cake with his groceries, I went into our Thrift Shop and got him a teddy bear. He was overjoyed. He named the bear ‘Bruno’ and attached it to the grocery cart we gave him to transport his groceries.”

Our goal is not just to offer temporary relief but to ensure the dignity and health of our seniors, like John, allowing them to lead fulfilling lives with the support they deserve.

To continue our mission, and keep up with demand, we are seeking your support. Your contribution will directly impact the lives of so many in our community: families, children and many seniors. Please give generously.

When you give to Interfaith, you are providing nutrition, dignity, and hope to the thousands of neighbors we serve. THANK YOU!
